PowerGo installs fast charging stations at the first Basic-Fit location

In Hoofddorp, visitors of Basic-Fit Toolenburg with an electric vehicle will soon be able to use various fast charging points. The charging stations supply 100% solar energy. This energy comes from the solar parks of PowerField, the parent company of PowerGo.

Initially, five fast charging points of 30 kilowatts will be installed. These can be flexibly expanded to nine charging points. In addition, a 180-kilowatt hypercharger will be installed, where two cars can charge at the same time. Thanks to this smart mix of fast chargers, a customer can leave the gym with a full battery.

Pilot in Hoofddorp
In the coming months, the realization of the charging points at Basic-Fit Toolenburg in Hoofddorp will kick off. The charging points will be accessible 24 hours a day, all year round.

After this pilot, Basic-Fit and PowerGo will also look at the other Basic-Fit locations in the Netherlands. “We are very much looking forward to the realization of the pilot location in Hoofddorp”, says Jean-Louis Bertholet, CEO of PowerField and PowerGo. “We are pleased to be able to offer a sustainable service for all Basic-Fit customers.”

Charging with solar energy
PowerGo aims to become one of the largest charge point operators in Europe in the coming years. Up-to-date and user-friendly technology is at the heart of our services. Many different projects have already been completed together with Ecotap, supplier of the hardware for the charging stations.
As a subsidiary of PowerField, PowerGo guarantees that 100% of the electricity comes from PowerField’s solar parks, in order to ensure more sustainable energy consumption and to support the energy transition. Charging solutions for all EV drivers and green energy is a big part of PowerGo’s ambition.
