About the position 

Join us as our new Business Development Consultant for our Tender & Municipalites department and be a key player in shaping the future of EV adaptation by helping us to become one of the largest Charging Point Operators (CPO’s) in Europe. As Business Development Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing tender opportunities, preparing and submitting compelling bids and proposals and managing the end-to-end tender process. Your role will be pivotal in expanding our market presence in Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium by securing contracts through tender processes and targeting municipalities directly. 

In this role, you will have various responsibilities and tasks: 

  • Ensuring successful tenders by assessing market developments and opportunities, managing and optimizing the tender process; 
  • Identify and research potential tender opportunities by monitoring government, commercial and institutional tender portals and publications, and analysing past successful tenders;  
  • Build strong relationships with municipalities to develop opportunities to close contracts without a tender process; 
  • Assess potential tender opportunities, aligned with the company strategy and goals, and attend pre-tender meetings; 
  • Proactively track and analyse tender platforms to ensure timely identification of potential opportunities; 
  • Lead the development of high-quality tender responses, including proposals, pricing and documentation; 
  • Organize kick-off meetings to provide internal and external stakeholders with relevant information; 
  • Engage stakeholders in the business strategy, objectives, and the intended execution, assigning tasks and responsibilities as needed; 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather required information and resources; 
  • Independently write tender texts and consistently work on making your texts distinctive; 
  • Ensure that all tender submissions comply with the requirements and guidelines outlined in the tender documents by conducting quality checks and reviews; 
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, government agencies and partners. 

About you 

Qualifications and skills 

  • Proven experience in tender management and business development. Experience in a start-up environment is a plus; 
  • Exceptional written communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence the behavior or opinions of others in a desired direction;  
  • Proactively problem-solving skills and the capability to navigate complex tender processes;  
  • Ability to establish, strengthen and maintain purposeful relationships;  
  • Affinity with sustainable energy, the energy transition and electric driving;   
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;   
  • Proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot), Microsoft Office and other relevant tools; 
  • An excellent command of the Dutch and German language, both verbally and in writing.
